Ministry Staff

Rev. Lois Cannon
Senior Pastor

My husband Ron & I enjoy our daughter Brittney and our grandson Braden.

Prior to my being a pastor, I had worked in purchasing for ten years and then worked as a manufacturer sales rep specializing in food service and industrial packaging for ten years. I began my tenure as a part-time, two-point-charge student pastor in 2004 and became an ordained minister in 2018. I earned my bachelor degree in addiction counseling at Indiana Wesleyan, and my Master of Divinity at United Theological Seminary at Dayton, Ohio.

Becoming the pastor at Trinity UMC in Huntington was an unexpected surprise! We are pleased and excited to be here. I look forward to seeing what God wants us to do together and how we will grow spiritually while I am your pastor.

Lee Ann Smith
Executive Secretary

Lee Ann joined the staff at Trinity UMC in October 2017 as the Executive Secretary.  She is enjoying her time working with everyone at Trinity.  Her work experience has primarily been focused on administrative assistance.

Lee Ann and her husband Chris moved to Roanoke from Kokomo, Indiana to be closer to children and grandchildren. Outside of her work, she serves on the Roanoke Fall Festival Board as secretary/treasurer, is a member of Sigma Eta Fine Arts Sorority, and is a 4-H project and pageant judge in the north and central part of the state.  She and Chris are the directors of the Wildcat Valley Cloggers in Kokomo.  They also enjoy playing guitars and traveling.

Greg Otis

Greg studied music education at IPFW, receiving a B.Mus.Ed. in 1995.  Since then, he has taught piano and voice privately, maintaining a studio of more than thirty-five students since 2000.  Greg is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association. Involved in the arts life of the greater Huntington community, Greg was the music director for the 1999 and 2000 community performances of Handel’s Messiah, led the music for the community remembrance of September 11 that was held in 2002, and was involved in theatrical fundraisers for Pathfinders Services Inc.  Greg has also been active in community theatre, conducting the performances for the Huntington Theatre Guild’s most recent production of The Sound of Music, working as musical director for Li’l Abner, and electronically creating the orchestral accompaniment for the Guild’s Cinderella. In recent years, Greg has filled his free time by studying British Literature, focusing on common themes found in literature, music, and the visual arts.
